Medical Director
Dr. Kimmel is a board certified Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon who has
been in private practice in South Florida since 1991. Having treated
innumerable patients for the adverse effects of smoking, he has now
committed to addressing the cause of their problems by enabling them to quit
smoking forever. Dr. Kimmel is certified in both the low level laser and the
Matrix smoking cessation program techniques.
Dr. Kimmel is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, a Fellow
of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, a Clinical Investigator with
the NIH, an Affiliate Member of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center of the
University of South Florida, and an Assistant Clinical Instructor in Surgery at
the Nova-Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie,
Florida. Dr Kimmel is the past Chairman of the American College of
Osteopathic Surgeons Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Discipline, and
is currently a member of the Board of Governors of the ACOS.
Julie Foster, LPN
Ms. Foster has worked with Dr. Kimmel since 1994 and is responsible for the
clinical aspects of his office practice. She is certified in both the low level
laser and the Matrix smoking cessation program techniques. At the Cold
Laser Therapy Center, Ms. Foster is fully involved in the application of the
laser and the implementation of the smoking cessation program.
Donna Streck
Ms. Streck has worked for Dr. Kimmel since 1994 as his office administrator.
She continues her work at the Cold Laser Therapy Center in working with
both the clients and staff in the development and delivery of the smoking
cessation program.
Suzanne Finley-Fox, RN
Ms. Finley-Fox has extensive experience in both adult critical care and
pediatric emergency nursing. She is certified in both the low level laser and
the Matrix smoking cessation program techniques. At the Cold Laser
Therapy Center, Ms. Finley-Fox is involved as a consultant to the staff in
program development and implementation.
KAREN M. GAUCI, M.P.H., R.D.,L.D.
Karen M. Gauci, RD, MPH, is a registered and licensed Dietitian and
Nutritionist, with a master’s degree in public health. She is currently in private
practice in Boca Raton, Florida, and is the owner and president of 2001
Nutrition Services, Inc. She specializes in the following areas related to
nutrition; nutrition education/counseling; weight management; pediatrics;
eating disorders; local and national presentations; substance abuse; and
psychiatric disorders. For many years, Mrs. Gauci was the nutritionist at
Palm-Aire Spa Resort in Pompano Beach, Florida and worked with many
celebrities. She is the author of the Cookbook, “Delicious Nutritious Spa
Recipes from the Spa at Palm-Aire” and the weight loss program, “Superitis:
Five Star Plan for Better Health”.
Ms Gauci also offers assistance in menu planning, label reading and proper
portion control. She is an integral part of the Cold Laser Therapy Center’s
weight loss program.
